Trauma of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C)

In this political climate with increased racism and sexism, diminishing human rights, restricted healthcare access and ongoing global migration, understanding FGM/C is critical. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to provide culturally competent, trauma-informed care for individuals affected by FGM/C. Dr. Johnson-Agbakwu will explore its historical and socio-cultural context, health impacts, and legal and ethical considerations for promoting healing and equity.
